How to rotate an image
Step 1: Add your image and open the Transform panel.
Step 2: Use the rotate buttons for a quarter turn left or right, or the flip buttons to mirror it.

Rotation, orientation and why photos arrive sideways
Photographs often look correct on a phone and sideways on a computer. The camera stored the image in one orientation and added a tag saying how to turn it, and not every program reads that tag.
ImageForge applies the orientation tag when reading a photograph, so what you see is what the photographer intended, and the exported file is correctly oriented for everything.
Quarter turns move whole pixels and lose nothing. Flipping is likewise exact. Only an arbitrary angle would need resampling.
Questions
Does rotating lose quality?
A quarter turn moves pixels without altering them, so nothing is lost. Any quality change comes from the format you save as.
Why does my photo look sideways elsewhere?
Cameras record orientation as a tag rather than rotating the pixels, and some software ignores it. Rotating here writes the pixels in the correct orientation, which fixes it everywhere.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
The interface offers quarter turns and flips. The engine supports arbitrary angles, and that control will be added once it can be presented properly rather than as a hidden option.
Can I combine rotating with other changes?
Yes. Rotate, crop, resize and adjust in any order. Undo steps back through each change individually.
