Why convert JPEG to PNG?
Converting to PNG does not recover detail that JPEG already discarded. It stops any further loss from happening, which matters if the image will be edited and saved repeatedly.
Expect the file to grow, often considerably: PNG stores every pixel exactly.
PNG also brings its own advantage here: every pixel is preserved exactly, so text and sharp edges stay crisp.

Questions
Are my JPEG files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read from your device and never sent to a server, because this site has no server that receives them.
Does converting to PNG lose quality?
No. PNG stores every pixel exactly as it was given, so the conversion itself adds no loss. Anything the JPEG had already discarded cannot be brought back, however.
Can I convert several JPEG files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together, and download the results individually or as a single ZIP. Progress is shown per file and overall.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no commercial limit and no account. There are technical limits, because a browser has finite memory: very large images are flagged before conversion, and the tool says plainly when a device may struggle rather than freezing.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every format and every feature is available to everyone. There is no paid tier, no watermark and no sign-up.
