Why convert HEIC to JPEG?
iPhones save photographs as HEIC by default, and Windows, many websites and most older software cannot open them. This is the conversion that fixes that.
Your photographs are read and converted on your own device. They are not uploaded, which matters more for personal photographs than for most files.
Live Photos and burst shots convert as their main still image.
JPEG also brings its own advantage here: photographs compress dramatically, often to a tenth of a lossless file.

Questions
Are my HEIC files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read from your device and never sent to a server, because this site has no server that receives them.
What happens to transparency when converting HEIC to JPEG?
JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour. You choose the colour, and the preview shows exactly how the result will look before you download it.
Does converting to JPEG lose quality?
Yes. JPEG is a lossy format, so some detail is discarded permanently. The quality setting controls how much: at 80 or above the difference is rarely visible, and lower values trade visible detail for a smaller file.
Can I convert several HEIC files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like, convert them together, and download the results individually or as a single ZIP. Progress is shown per file and overall.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no commercial limit and no account. There are technical limits, because a browser has finite memory: very large images are flagged before conversion, and the tool says plainly when a device may struggle rather than freezing.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every format and every feature is available to everyone. There is no paid tier, no watermark and no sign-up.
